Thanks for the pics. That lift looks great with those 255's. Do you know if you got any lift from the 5100's on the rear? I've read from others that they give you about a half inch lift on the rear. Any truth to that?

I think the high-pressure shocks did lift the rear up a little bit, maybe 1/3-1/2". They were a lot harder to compress by hand than the stock shocks.

My 2008 SR5 4runner, with Bilstein 5100s -- front set at 0.85", rear is non-adjustable. Stock springs. No wheel spacers.

The driveway is a little slanted to the right, so it's not the best depiction of the effect of the Bilsteins. The garage floor is pretty much level, so it's a better shot.
New shoes look great. Tell me, are you pleased with the bilsteins and stock shock?
This is my biggest question about mine. I am trying to decide.

The Bilsteins replaced the stock shocks; I like them quite a bit more than the stock shocks.

Couple of questions, did you come out level? I ask because my '05 4x4 V6 came out 1" lower in front when measured from bottom of running boards with the same shock set, .085 lift and 100k mile original coils.
What happened with your gas milage between the 255/75/17 and the 16's? I'm about to replace my 265/65/17 with the taller 255/70/17's or would you recommend the even taller 75's
I have yet to decide between the Silent Armor and Firestone A/T. If you considered other brands you made a great looking choice. Also recommend the Billy's, great shocks!
I also found Hunter GSP9700 Wheel vibration Control System solves wheel vibration and tire pull problems that balancers and aligners can't fix to be well worth the money both for tire life and t4r driveability.

My 4R is still a bit nose-down (measured at the wheel well gap), but the front end of the running board is a tiny bit nose-up (vs. the rear end of the running board).
Gas mileage: the only other tire I've had on the 4R (other than the 255/75/17 Silent Armor and the 265/70/16 Ultra Grip snow tire) is the stock Dunlop AT20, in 265/65/17. Mileage went down more with the snow tire (1-2mpg) than with the Silent Armor (.5-1 mpg), even though the Silent Armor is larger. And this is hand-calculating the mpg.
I picked the Silent Armor mostly because of the sale price + rebates that were offered at the time, otherwise I probably would have gone with a 265/70/17, simply because they are a more common size. I moved the front edge of the front wheelwell fender liners forward a bit, and trimmed them a bit -- very easy to do, and only need to trim the black fender liner, not any of the painted fender flare. This thread is worth reading for the info if you want to use this size tire:

I bought 5 of the Silent Armors, and rotate the spare in with the other 4. It's a bit of a hassle; what I'll probably do with the next set will be four 265/70/17, and keep the best-condition 255/75/17 Silent Armor as the spare (it's close enough in diameter to serve as a spare).

With the lower revs per mile and thinner (less resistence) footprint the 255/70/17 should produce better gas milage and have more tire in the wheel well.

See my lift thread in sig for my thoughts on the 255/75's. I noticed no loss in gas mileage, even a slight improvement. I'd recommend the Firestone Destination A/T's. I've had great luck with those in the past. I've heard a few complaints on the Silent Armor's lately. I know CJ3FLYR had them and ended up swapping because he never could get them balanced (or at least to stay balanced).
