i would say that if you dont mind waiting then billys are good, i dont know 2 much about the icon but the billys have been on back order since may so if you want them soon look at the icons.

yea they have been backordered for a while, they have some other ones with dual eyelets which won t allow us to mount on our 4runners, but they fabbed a mount which in my opinion looks weak

I have no experience (or even heard of) Icon. However, I had Koni's and Bilsteins on my 2nd gen and Bilsteins on my 3rd gen and was very happy with the Bilsteins. The Koni's were a bit stiffer than the Bilsteins and the 2nd gen rode like a truck to begin with. I particularily liked how the Bilsteins seemed to prevent some of the body roll that I had with the OE shocks.

What happened to the SAS 4wd conversion with a 14" lift, free 35" tires and the ridiculous amount of "smiles"?

or getting a 3rd gen?

i have moved past that, very funny though, i have been mostly on the 120 since most of them dont give me crap about my little rant i had a while back, but no, no more 35's as i dont want to cut like crazy, dont know where the hell i ever said anything about a 14 inch lift thoug??? i like using smiles sorry :). yes i was looking for a 3rd gen for a while but after driving a friends i would never have gotten used to how sluggish it was compared to my v8. and if you have anything else you would like to burn me on, then go ahead, thanks for answering the question i did have though... and way to stay on topic

as for anyone else that has any other suggestions about the bilsteins, icons, or any other shocks, please feel free to chime in. :thanks:

Bilstein Backordered?

Try other stores not specializing in Toyota lift products or other non-suspension strictly stores. It might be 10-20 bucks more. There is a store that have 20% off statewide sale now. I got it from there 3 months ago and never mentioned it backordered, even gave me free shipping and pick up/install in store.

Why Back ordered?

IMO, If I'm the Seller:

Shock A > purpose: lift > cost $170 pair > my profit = $20
Shock/Setup B,C,D,E,F > purpose: lift > cost $600 to $1500 pair/Kit > my profit = $100 to $500 or more

^ So why would I have Shock A stocked in my store? When its killing the sales of my other products?:biggrin2: ...So,try other stores or call Bilstein who their suppliers are...or maybe its just true that their output is less than the demand.

Again its just MY stupid IMO..

well that does make sense but the other shocks that they have in stock are same pric or 20 bucks cheaper, but those are not what i want.

im goin to continue to look for some slightly used ones though. i have time.

thanks for your reply
