bilstein shocks and spacers/ budget lift/ 2.5 inches

After much reading I want to add bilsteins all around with just 5100s upfront with a 1.5 inch spacer and back a 1.5 spacer with the shocks. Will this get me close to 2.5 without making the ride so stiff? (keeping them set at .85 )

I'd like to be as close to stock ride feel as possible. 98% of the time will be as a daily driver commuting 45 minutes each way.
Are the bilsteins the wrong choice due to stiffness? if so suggestions?

Any other combo suggestion to keep factory ride?

I'm using the [email protected] and rear toytec 2 inch coils with 5100s shocks I like it
For the cost I probably would have preferred the toytec 3 inch Springs with bilsteins at 0 but didn't do that

The ride will be ever so slightly stiffer, but not objectionably so. If you stay with the factory springs. I did it for about a year before upgrading springs for other add ons.

If you want budget why not do what I did and install this... keeps the factory ride and install is easy.

Seems to fit exactly what you need given the intended use.

I was worried that the 1.5 spacer in back would over extend the stock shock(SR5) and result in failure and the need to replace anyways.

Anyone have any thoughts if this would in fact be true?

Just rolled 70K on my 2014 and not one issue to report half of those miles with the lift installed. Thats with about 90% road and some rough fire roads on the rig. I've fully stretched out the suspension and have had no issues.

This spacer installs on top of the front coil assembly not in between the coil and top hat. I noticed no difference in ride quality from stock, just added height and ground clearance. Front drive line angles are almost flat, with added ground clearance. IMOP this is how the 4Runner should come from the factory. The rig now sits even with a bone stock TRD PRO.

Arent the TRD PRO shocks better than the stock SR5?

That can be argued till the cows come home.

Nothing wrong with your stock shocks for what your described use is... "shocks only dampen the ride, the springs are what create lift"

My TRP next to a TRD PRO.
