The spring rate.

14” TRD is a 600lb spring

14” Eibach is 650lb and also comes 700lb

There is more to it than just length.

Is there some formula to calculate the varying amounts of lift on a spring-rate basis? I installed my setup with the Dobinsons TRD PRO 1" spring (same length as supplied TRD FJ spring but only 518lb vs. 600lb). I do wish the front was a bit higher than it is and would like to know how much it *might* increase if I swap the springs out.

My sister is getting an Off Road Premium (from a Mercedes 350 diesel suv) and I think adding the TRD suspension would help her transition from her "sporty" driving Mercedes. Has anyone come across these in stock anywhere recently?

I was looking for some more timely info than 2-3 weeks ago. Everywhere I have looked is listed as *discontinued* and out of stock. Thanks for the hot take though.

Yeah shipping and tax kind of hampers the deal a bit but they are still shipping these.

It is still worth every penny. Mine was 602.87 shipped to Boston,
MA. No taxes were taken. The kit is awesome.

I know this may sound a little crazy but try your local Toyota dealer.

I special ordered from my dealer 1.5 weeks ago and picked it up last Saturday. It was cheaper than online too, it was $515.

I used the Toytec 1" spring perch spacers up front and Wheeler's T-13 springs in the back. I left the clips on the front struts with the driver's side on the higher setting and passenger side on the lower setting. I guess since I have KDSS I should have put them both at the same height. Going to go back tonight and lower the drivers side which should hopefully level out the front.

These are the before and after measurements from center of hub to fender:

Before Lift
FD 19"
FP 19.25"
RD 21.25"
RP 20.25"

After Lift
FD 22"
FP 21.5"
RD 22.75"
RP 22.5"

Finished up the rear today so here's a pic of how it currently sits. Are you planning on adding new springs in the back? If not you might end up with a slight negative rake with the Toytec 1" spring perch spacer.

Before I bought the spacer, I had a convo with a rep at Toytec and he talked me into the lower spring perch instead of the top plate. He said that the spring perch spacer was basically the same as adjusting the hight of a normal 6112.

I drove around the block with my fiancé in the car and tried to hit every speed bump and rut I could find and we didn't notice the ride being any more harsh than before the install.

Can you let us know if they are able to meet all of the factory alignment specifications?

Will do. I'm going to try to get it aligned next weekend so hopefully they can get everything to spec.

Got my setup installed today!

- Wheelers isolators up front + top clips both sides. (I have KDSS)

- Eibach rear springs

Sits almost level from the naked eye? Haven't had change to bust out tape measure. Alignment tomorrow.

I have a 3" spacer style lift installed right now. Can I get away with installing this suspension and keeping that? I'd like to do some better suspension especially at ~$500.

Pulled the trigger on this suspension - First time poster

Hey guys,

I've read all 60 some pages on this thread. Thanks for all the amazing info.

I pulled the trigger on the kit from Franks. My question is regarding top hats. I'd like to have the coil overs assembled prior to starting to tear the truck apart. Are any spacers, bushing etc needed in addition to the top hat to assemble?

Can anyone provide the Toyota PN for the top hat?

Hey guys. I got this from Franks Motors. It is the FJ version of the 4R instructions that are floating around on here. It contains full instructions for disassembly/reassembly of the shocks.

Perhaps this is why this kit is discounted? The 4R and new FJ kit appear to come fully assembled.

It's probably discounted because they had a warehouse full of them for a discontinued vehicle.

I got top hats from Amazon. From reading the forum it states that these are identical with OEM top hats.
