I just want to confirm...you've got a 2018 T4R TRD Off Road Premium with KDSS and the kit posted worked for you minus not having a threaded hole for the rear reservoir?

We just picked up the same rig and I'm interested in making the buy but wanted to make sure it would work with the KDSS ?

You guys can see from my pics that the hole is there, it just isn't threaded.

Other than that there is no issue with the kit. I still need to do the front as I got started late today.

Finding a rivet or jack nut/blind nut is all that is left for the resi mount

Ok suspension gurus, so I have a 2006 t4r V8 4x4.
How much lift will I get? These are 1” higher than stock just throwing them on let’s say a stock basic 5th gen or fj right?
So on my t4r will it be 1” higher then I add the toytec spring perch spacer then that’s 2” then 1/2” top plate for about 2.5” right?
I really would like to be able to just replace the Trd coils for a coil spring that will be a lift coil to get me 2.5” of lift without needing a spring perch spacer. I may need new replacement coils anyways to accommodate a Pelfreybuilt front plate bumper.
Is there any threads y’all know about where someone switched the Trd coils for something else?

Just as an FYI Olathe Toyota is saying they are requiring a VIN number to fulfill the order that I made on Saturday morning. Said it's being handed down from Toyota they will not sell any of these parts without an FJ cruiser TRAIL trim WIN.

I gt caught up in this from an order I placed earlier during the week and I told them this was a bunch of crock. I ended up finding it priced at my local dealer for a few dollar more. However, he gave me a 10% military discount. The kit was on the shelf and I didn't need to provide my VIN to get it. WINNING!!!!!

Dobinsons is getting ready to release a coil that fits these 6112’s that gives an additional 1” lift. They are also working on a 2” additional lift coil. Sounds like these were made for those that have T4R Pro models with the Bilstein 6112’s and are wanting to lift more. These coils combined with a 1/4” top plate spacer (gives 1/2” lift) should give an additional 1.5” lift. Add that to the 1” that you already get from this kit.... 2.5”total lift.

** Not sure if the 4 gen V8 will get the same amount of lift as a 5th gen though. I saw a thread on 5gen suspension on 4gen.

Waiting for someone to get these fj team ultimate 6112’s installed to find out if the advertised 1” lift is indeed correct.... need some center hub to fender measurements to get an idea.

My plan is to avoid using the toytec spring perch spacer(preload). I don’t mind adding a 1/2” top plate but not the preload spacer. I am trying to get as close to 3” as possible. Hopefully dobinsons has a lift coil and the rate I will need for a plate front bumper and a winch. Gotta ditch the stock Trd coils for sure. Then I will begin my build.

PTR13-35140 Question

Hey 4Runner family. I got a question what does this kit come with ? I got a Toyota dealer in my area that can order this parts for me. But they don’t know what all comes with this kit. They said only the front/rear shock and no hardware and coils. I don’t think the guy know what he’s talking about but I just want to make sure before I prepay for it.

Sorry, I see now and should've looked more closely at your photos. Not sure if you had a chance to put calipers on the hole to get a measurement or not, but a jack-nut or well nut might work without any other modification. A standard rivnut is pretty sensitive to hole diameter, so that might not be an option.

Has anyone confirmed part numbers yet for this kit as compared to the 4Runner TRD pro kit? Looks darn near identical (aside from not being pre-assembled with top-hats), but the only thing that makes me hesitate is the thought that the springs and tuning might not be quite right for the weight of the 4Runner.

Yup, gonna try to find one today. No luck on the internet for a M8. The other member said they used a rivnut so we’ll see if that’s the only option.

The hole on 4runners without KDSS look like there is a nut welded behind it.

Bought the kit

I bought the kit. So what I read it only lift the front to about 1” and it will look level. What I was planning to do is add spacer in the front and rear to get a higher rack. What do you guys think about these parts or daystar KT09134BK. I was looking for a 3” lift.

Thanks, but that dude doesn't have KDSS. The hole is there on mine, but it isn't threaded.

About to start the front so I'll let ya'll know how that goes.
