Bilstein TRD Pro suspension kit on sale PTR13-35140

When you installed this kit with the Toytec spring spacer, did you use the bottom circlip slot or the higher one?

Also, did you install a diff drop kit or is it even necessary? Your CV angle doesn't look seem to look be overly steep in those pics

I've had mine in the garage for a couple weeks now to go on the wife's 2015, and after the install on Saturday I don't know why I waited so long. No spring compressor method took right at 4 hours total for front and rear, with a tire rotation. Night and day difference compared to stock.

I installed with the Toytec spring spacer, front looks to have settled at 2.25" after driving on it for the weekend, putting it perfectly level. Have a set of TRD Forged rock warrior style wheels to go on next week along with new tires, can't wait to get it wrapped up.

Sorry if this has been answered already but does the no spring compressor method involve using the OEM top hats? I'd like to do this all on one shot. Is there any benefit to spending a little more on OEM top hats vs the KYB top hats that everyone in this thread has recommended? I don't mind saving money and rolling with the KYB brand as long as they are just as good.

Everyone is convinced that KYB makes the OEM top hats anyway.

These are certainly not the same as OEM (that doesn't mean that they don't make the OEMs) but many people have used these, including myself as well as many 4th gen owners. They are sold everywhere, I got mine at Summit Racing.

No diff drop, angles seemed good. The drivers side is at the top clip, passenger at the bottom.

Added some 285/70r17 Falken Wildpeak At3w's on Forged TRD wheels over the weekend.

Thanks Joez...

I have KDSS on my TE and the initial plan was to go with both circlips on the top slot as others have suggested. But, if I go with the Toytec spacers, I wonder if I could get away with placing both circlips on the bottom slot? Maybe I may get right at 2 inches of lift?

Those tires and wheels look great with the lift. Are you still running stock rear springs?

Well, several people have stated that they look EXACTLY the same too.

Yup, factory rear springs still. I would imagine running both at the bottom would net right at 2" of lift with the spacer.

And thanks, the wife is very happy with the look and how it drives now, can't wait to get it in the dunes!

Anyone running with 17x9" wheels with -12 offset on either stock 265 tires or larger with this suspsension? any rubbing or issues with larger tires?

Bilstein.jpg

I Just received the suspension kit and would like to know what this part is for. It is a Bilstein Upper Stem Mount. I have not seen this part in any other images in this thread. Thanks.

I highly recommend this kit. Install was not complicated, it gets rid of nose dive and the truck handles like it should. The amount of lift was perfect for me and you don’t have to drive with a death grip on the highway.
