Bimrunner Build Thread & Pics

bimrunner, can you tell me about your experience with your 4x4labs products? Specifically, I'm looking into ordering a front bumper (Luke is adapting this awesome 5th gen design for the 4th gen:)

Any thoughts, advice, things to consider based on your experience?

Thanks

his powdercoater does a phenomenal job, have it PC'd. also, expect to wait a while, they like to take their pot breaks. Luke is super nice - just keep calling every little bit if he doesnt answer, he'll eventually pickup.

Pretty much what marshal said. Luke makes excellent products but he isn't fast. He has a 4th gen he picked up and I expect all the armor will become available for the 4th gens. I wouldn't hesitate to get his gear again. I have both rigs outfitted with labs kit.

Step Side & Rocker Panel

Images 5-8, love the step side and the removal of the Rocker panel. Recently removed my factory step side in search for something a little more aggressive and functional. Would you recommend picking up a more recent 14-16 rocker panel or simply remove what you have?

It all depends on what slider you plan to run. Mine were designed to be used without rockers to get as much clearance as possible. You can remove and use any designed for the TE but some may leave you with a slightly unfinished look.

Finally got around to spraying out the chrome handles. Krylon Fusion flat black. Love how 3 came out. Skrewed one up (seems obligatory...). Guess I get to have some more practice. Missed a part and didn't see it until I took off all the protection. Then, I decided to try to "touch it up." Note to self: DO NOT DO THAT AGIAN!

Awesome, I might copy your style on this one. I always liked the 10-13 silver trail editions with the black handles and fender flares. Did you paint them on the truck? Or remove them completely?
