With the extra weight from the front bumper do you find the ride just as comfortable as the stock?

I don't feel the extra weight. With a change of gearing and bigger tires etc, I am completely unaware of the front bumper weight.

I like the idea but I was thinking it would be nice if the windows were removable like a breezer window.

Yodateq makes them for the 80 (I have a set) and is designing for the 5th gen. He goes through multiple prototypes and when they are released they won't leak. It will be much more finished and for perfect. This is prototype 1.0 and he will tweak it until it is just right, it will have weatherstripping, be fully tested in the real world, be well documented on the install, will lock... His stuff is top notch. It also takes a while. This is his teaser from Instagram.

Well, replacing my tcase skid with the new design. It did its job but I won't miss the exhaust vibration!

Nice. do you think the crossmember is stronger? I have the old style one and it is holding up pretty well. Even after some really hard use on Golden Spike and other trails in Moab. The exhaust crossover though, was always vibrating after trails. Hopefully this one is better.

Crossmember is hands down better. Boxed versus just a gusset. The plate is flatter so shouldn't bash up into the crossover. The Rubicon is what finished off my tcase skid and bent the crossmember. Golden Spike is a phenomenal trail.

That's one of the design features I picked Bud's for - a DOM tube cross member. Still hasn't prevented the skid plate bolted to it from bending up into the crossover pipe, though.

My transfer skid is sitting in my press while I decide how to gusset it.

Where did you get those tabs that drop the plate down so you can use the LED light bolts? We just installed Luke's bumper on my rig and we didn't know where to get those tabs at...

If you are asking about the light bolts I'm using for DRL and turn signals, I simply installed them into my custom grill and wired them into the DRL/turns which are different on a 2013 than the 2016.

Sorry man. Asking about the LED license plate bolts on the 4x4 labs rear bumper. The tabs that drop the plate down so you can use the LED bolts.

Ah! That Lic plate holder is one Luke makes. Ask him if he can send you one and I have it bolted to the second swing out but when I had the ladder on there I had it mounted to that. Not sure what accessories you have on your rear bumper. Instead of normal screws to hold the plate on I used the light bolts.
