Birfield/CV joint play--normal?

I'm in the processing of rebuilding this OEM axle and saw a small amount of play in the Birfield joint:

Is this normal or should I just trash it?

Really hard to tell just from that gif. I think a better test would be to rotate the shaft very slightly back and forth while holding the joint securely and see if you have more than just a very minimal amount of motion. If so, I'd say replace it.
