Hey guys! Newbie to the forum and to Toyota!
We picked up our 5th Gen Limited (my first T4R) in December and I've had some terrible luck. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE it .. They say bad luck happens in 3's, perhaps it's over and it will be smooth sailin' from here on in?!
Bad Luck #1 - (7 days old) - We had just received our first dump of the good stuff so I decided to stop at the mailbox on the way home to grab the mail. Got the mail and did a bit of a u-ball to turn around and head home. Didn't notice where the curb was as it was covered in snow and the back tire slipped off of the curb/metal drainage thing (built into the sidewalk) and I heard the most god awful clank. A quarter sized piece of my rim was left behind.
Bad Luck #2 - (1 month old) - First trip to Sunshine Village Ski resort of the season. A fellow in a very large truck with a lead foot decided to pass and cut in front of me and sprayed my windshield with stones. Had 2 stone bruises after that one. "No biggie, I'll get those fixed when we get back to YYC". When we got to the hill as soon as I put it in park I heard that sound that you hear when your windshield cracks from one side to the other. Awesome.
Bad Luck #3 - (1.5 months old) - Not much of a story here. Didn't notice til I got home and saw the difference in my headlamps shining on the garage door. The mighty deerfoot decided it was time to claim one of my foglights.
#facepalm, although you can't help but chuckle a bit!

Needless to say the rig is amazing and we absolutely love it and I wouldn't trade it or give it back! I'm kind of a gadget guy so I love the bluetooth and handsfree system. It just works! I love the fact that when I walk by the truck, if I have the key, the lights on the mirrors turn on! Crazy!
Anyways just thought I would share a bit of my story so far!
I sure hope changing a foglight on a T4R isn't as aweful as the Nisaan Murano was.. :ybrick:
