Black FJ Steel on T4R Anybody Running them?

I would like to get black rims for my metallic gray SR5 and believe the FJ steels are the cheapest alternative. Not the best looking but within my budget. I'm picturing the FJ OME with BFG goodrich white letterings out. Is anybody running FJ OEM 17" steels on their new T4R? They are known to be heavier than the alloys so would that affect the MPG? Thanks

I always like black with white or dark gray body. Have you noticed a sacrifice in mpg as I've heard these are heavy rims?

No. Yes.

My oem wheels sit in my garage, so it resets every time I park. Comes on again in ~30 min of driving ... I just ignore it ... doesn't bother me at all.

You ever thought about painting the center caps an off color to make them stand out a little? I just picked up an identical set as yours and will be repainting and mounting. They are going on a metallic gray SR5.

When I used the spare I noticed the standard lug nuts stick out really far. Did you replace the lug nuts?

Look like good winter/offroad wheels that wont make you cry if they get wrecked!

I like to look good in the winter but yes steelies would be good for major off road stuff but in 7 seasons of going off road my wheels have very minimal scrapes or whatnot so steelies would be a waste for me for alternate wheels;would simply buy a set of other OEM wheels for cheap.

Like the old cyclists used to say "Steel is real". That's back when the best road bike frames were hand made from high grade of steel. Now days if it's not Titanium or carbon fibre, it sucks.
