Black Lug Nuts for Black Rock Yuma Wheels ?

I'm considering Black Rock Wheel 908B786045 - Black Rock Series 908 Yuma Matte Black Wheels with Duratrac 285/70/17 tires

I've read through a ton of wheel threads but may have missed where anybody uses black lug nuts. Are they available? Would the stock lugs work or do I need to buy another type? They say: Lug Nut Seat Style: Conical seat - 60 degree

Summit has these but I simply do not know enough to be sure they would be the right ones.

And since so many of you know so much about wheels, any other issue I should know about that I may have missed?

And, and... Any thoughts about using a Alum spare compared to Steel in regards to taking a beating under the truck?

Oh, I forgot to ask, Will they Rub?

Yes, they are available.

No, you can't use stock lugs.

We already have aluminum wheels as spares. So, there's no reason you can't use aluminum, unless cost is a factor.

And, and, and, YES. They are going to rub unless you get adjustable UCAs, body mount chop, inner fender mod, AND take your fenders completely off! :hatsoff:

I'm using Gorilla lugs and locks on my Konig Countersteers and they work great.

Before you ask, they are acorn 12MM X 1.50. Gorillas are spline drive with a hex adapter. Makes them very hard to steal.

Gorilla seems to have three different lengths in Black 12 x 1.50 here

Which one would I need? Are these the best option for Yuma Wheels? I really don't want locking lugs.

About the spare, if I use a OEM steel wheel could I use these in case of a flat or would I need to carry a set of OEM lugs?

The regular lugs (non-locking) that I'm using are part# 21138BC. I can't say 100% if they will fit with your rims but I would be surprised if they don't. I haven't got around to checking with the stock spare, I just tossed 6 of the old lug nuts in the jacking pouch just in case. I suppose I should do a test fit but it's a low priority right now.

Unless your limited is different than mine, our spares are aluminum. You'll need to carry oem lugs. Or just order 5 wheels!

When I went with TE wheels I sold all 5 Limited ones and just got a Steel spare from the dealer.

Correct, I do but I did not know we should use different lengths just because of it.

I used black lug nuts with my Teflon AR Mojaves. I didn't select the lug nuts, I used wheelpros.com. They set me up. You might want to do so, too so you're not on the hook if you order the wrong items.

The nuts are kind of splined. I got a key with them that works on all 6 lug nuts.

I like the look, but they're painted, and impact wrenches tend to chip the paint off.

Bobby never said aluminum...Those are aluminum and we know that steel and aluminum don't play well together, ya know all that dissimilar metal stuff. Try these I think I linked the right ones :shrug: They are steel and much cheaper.

What did the dealer give you to use with your spare steelie? The SR5/TE lugnuts aren't for steel wheels...just curious.

The wheels Philly is considering are aluminum. It won't matter for the spare as I assume he won't be running it long.

Ahhh, the steel studs. It will not matter.

If you were permanently using the nuts to secure something permanently to a steel bolt, then Qjake would have some ground to stand on. Race teams have been using alum nuts for forever. You will be removing them from time to time (tire rotations) so it will not have time to seize.
