hi guys, this is my test, i bought a headlamp from ebay and costed me 30 bucks lol, well here it goes, blacking it out on this is kinda hard, hard part is not to get glue on the glass, but here it is. first u preheat the oven at 250, then u get ur headlight, removing all rubber and screws out, after the oven is all preheated and done, put the headlight in and bake for 15 mins, also watch it too, i didt watch my lights kuss i had to shit and it kill 10 mins lol, so after 15 mins pass, wear some gloves and take out the light and find a spot to start seperating, after that, u see that the reflector are attatch to the plastic, while the trim is attatched to the glass, start takin out the screw on the trim and it should b 2 of them , now the hard part is taking it off the glass and not put any glue on it, best thing to remove the glue off the glass is use some arctic silver thermal remover, its some computer shit, it worked for me. anyways taking the other glass part off the trim is hard too and bcarful, after that u get some paint for plastic, i used what i had big mistake , but this is a test only, so u paint and let dry, then reassemble everything back. and pop it in the oven. well my lights are still apart now, will finish up later.

Looks good. I'm doing this tomorrow on the Runner. I've done a few now on Tacomas including my own. Easy mod and they look great when done.

Paint was the new Rustoleum. It is made for plastic. Just a Satin Black. Didn't sand the trim...just made sure not to touch it and every thing was clean. Ive done a few of these...Not hard if you just take your time....

Bowtie, your headlights look amazing! Nice job! :bigok:

Rice, it looks like we have the same horns, those Hella's are a beast!

Can the orange reflector be removed? Was it hard to replace the weather stripping?

Didnt take off the weather stripping. The reflector is all one piece....Not sure if you can take just the orange part off.

cant take out the orange reflector, i knoe kuss i tried and it cracked, also wen u take apart the lights the weather stripping stays on the headlamp so the only thing u can take off is everything else.
the hella super tones is the ones i took out of my totaled 96 4runner, and it was a direct bolt on plus it sounds better.
