Well I know I haven't updated this in some time, but here is how my truck stands now. Added an Edgestar 43qt Fridge, 40" E2 Rigid Bar, CBI Rear Tire Carrier and some other odds and ends.

Still on my KM2's and have gotten quite a bit of life out of them, would say 30k so far with a ton of off roading.

Also, no problems with the FJ wheels. All these years later my rattle can paint job is holding up great!
 
How are you liking the CBI fold down tire carrier? I am at my wits end dealing with a 33" tire sitting in the back of mine!!

I like that it is a way to carry a tire. I don't like how far it sticks out (should be pretty easy to modify the hitch to get it closer, I just haven't yet) and it is kind of a pain to tip up and down. I am probably going to start building a swing out in the near future to replace it, but for a cost-effective option the CBI is hard to beat.
 
I thoroughly enjoyed reading through your build thread. You definitely get out there and use your truck for what it was intended for. I'm curious what topo app you're using for ipad on the Utah trip. I'm planning a trip to Big Sur next month and would prefer to use your 'off pavement' approach to traveling.

If you find any usable trails in big sur I would be surprised!

It's mostly private land and no access to vehicles
 
Ya. I figured Big Sur is not the place to hit trails, but coming from San Diego, I'll head up 395 to Mammoth, then through the Yosemite pass and finally to Big Sur. I'm sure I can find a few places to get lost along the way.
 
First off, absolutely love your rig [MENTION=24143]BlairB[/MENTION]!! Such a badass rig, love the work you've put into it.

Question: How did you mount your front Fox resi's? I've got a set coming soon but they don't include any brackets so i'm looking for ideas.

Sorry for the delayed response, been out of town for a bit! To answer the earlier question, I use Gaia. Great app that allows you to download files to the iPad so you can use it offline. Also, you can overlay trails, routes, waypoints etc…

Thanks for the compliments!

On the drivers side I use an all pro mount. That passenger side wouldn't fit the mount so I used some weld-on tabs. I would recommend just using tabs like this. Cheap and effective!

Thanks for the recommendation on the tabs. Just ordered up a set for my passenger side.
