Today was an exciting day, I was able to install my new RCI gas tank skid, as well as some extended travel Kings to better match the front. Also added a pair of Rigid D2's in lieu of my KC's.

The best part of the day was bombing over some bumpy roads and discovering that all the noises that bothered me for so long were GONE!

And in case anyone is curious- here is a Bilstein 5100, vs. a Fox 2.0 Piggyback, vs. a King 2.5 Resi (I added the boot)

Well today was a great day- I took a little trip up to Grass Valley and got my 4x4Labs Rear Bumper installed! Overall the bumper is beautiful, and the quality is great. I can't wait to put it to use out on the trail.

No going back now!

Realized that I never posted pics of the new bumper in action after a camping trip the other weekend! Took the Usal Road up to the Lost Cost. Great camping spot and met some very friendly Elk.

I plan on doing a camping trip up in north Cali this spring and this looks like a good stopping spot.

The Usal Road use to be a logging road that now wanders through the woods (USAL = USA Lumber). Definitely be ready to run into your friendly neighborhood hippies at the campsite near the beach, but as you go deeper into the trail you run into less people. It is bumpy, but not anything overly technical.

The trail does close when it gets wet, it looks like it may have already happened for the season.

Thank you. This looks like a must do trail. How far is your campsite from the trailhead seen in your pictures? And on a 1-10 scale, what would you say the trail difficulty is for Usal Rd?

Took the rig out on a little 4 day camping trip to Joshua Tree and surrounding BLM land. Everything worked great, but after the addition of the new bumper, 3 full jerry cans, adding a drawer system, and relocating fridge to the very back I REALLY need new rear coils. The All Pro 3.5's just cannot handle all the weight.

Also, 3 jerry can's was overkill for this trip, but we were originally heading to Arizona for the Great Western Trail and changed our minds while on the way. :bigok:

Trails were all really fun and we saw pretty much every inch of the park- only one I wish we had photos of was the Brooklyn Mine Trail, which was narrow, rocky, and somewhat technical. We ended up doing it at night, so we didn't even try to bust out the camera.

Took a little three day trip to the USAL Road and explored the Lost Coast some more with my fiancee and our silver lab. It was my 2nd time up there, and we had a great time exploring the woods, the beach and visiting with the Elk!
