Thai,
Besides my tires and my bling-stick (Hi-Lift) mounts, what mods/plans do you not agree with?
I would not mod my 4runner like what you have done to yours. I would have concentrated more on capability rather than trying all sorts of lift kits. But, i think that this has to do with how we off-road. Still, i would have gone a much different direction. I don't like to modify factory suspension geometry too much for fear of loss of durability and reliability, which is inevitably the case with any significant lift kits. (Reliability and durability were two factors why you bought a 4runner, right?) I much rather concentrate on things that will improve upon the factory setup and improve traction. So, i would go for only a mild lift (1" spacer front to improve front clearance), FJ springs & Bilstein shocks, rear locker, rear diff breather mod, sliders, and proper off-roading tires (probably 265/75/16 or 255/75/17). That's it. No wheel spacers. I would bet that with this setup, my 4runner would be just as capable (if not more) than your truck now under most off-road circumstances, ride more comfortably on-road, AND be more reliable/durable.
BTW, i did not say that your hilift mount was bling-bling...i said that your HI-LIFT itself was off-road bling!
