Absolutely awesome job though! making the new pillar panel is what really sealed it for me, you did this one the right way! Mega-props amigo.
I cant imagine having that many switches. My 4 is already quite enough already thanks!

As far as the new pillar panel, i'm glad you caught and commented on that. It was one of those "must implement" steps if things were to work out the way they did...Thanks for droppin' by bud!

Just saw the switch panel...... LOOKS SWEET MAN! Funny... you keep adding switches... and took mine away! lol! Took the toggle switch I had to run my valance lights.... and had Lee wire them to my highbeam's so they go on when I flick the Highbeams on... 
Your's looks pretty slick though.... fits the rig nicely!

I guess you'll have limited use of your valance lights now that you've got them wired with the highbeam circuit. I mean they're highbeam activated is what i'm saying, unless you're using it alot......Oh well.....you must have a good reason for the change-over.

Yeah man... I only needed them for when I'm on the highway at night... and want the extra lighting. The valance lights open up the road for me... so I see in the ditches along the road. I flick it off for oncoming traffic, and put them back on when traffic is gone. Really convenient, as before I'd have to lower the high beam, and flick off the valance lights.
I also did it this way, because... like I said before... my build is a "OEM PLUS" build.... so I wanted it to be there... but look like Toyota built it like that. (hence... using a stock switch
) BTW, my pleasure for chimin' in.... your build is probably my favorite on here. It's my favorite color, has some of the best mods around here, and you seem to love it as much as I love mine!
Honestly... You and Dirtco have the baddest setups... I just prefer your black paint, and front bumper. (something about tube bumpers that don't appeal to me.)
Both rigs are beautiful though... and obviously.. just my opinion.
All that jibberish aside... that upholstery work, must have been a total PITA! I did the armrests on my Taco... and had to redo it twice! lol! In the end... the damn vinyl started to sag in some spots... and Now I have to redo it!
Next time... using a different approach, and different glue! What kind of upholstery adhesive did you use??

OEM Plus...I like that.
Upholstering definitely isn't my strongest aptitute and my work could be better, but like in everything, you learn as you go. That vinyl stretches like crazy though, with the right combination of heat applied. Getting those rounded and curved areas can be a real pain especially covering the 2 gauge pods, I swear man i've never been anymore frustrated I wanted to just smash that dang pod:ybrick::biggrin2:
For this particular project, i used the Lepage one which I got from Home Depot for just under $20. It's tacky as heck you can't afford to wait around and take a coffee break and let it dry on ya.lol!

I look at this build thread at least once a day. I wish I knew more about wiring.... the diagrams look like hebrew to me though!! I really like the switches that u integrated into headliner looks amazing. Damn I wished I lived in Canada! I am having a hard rime wiring up a damn relay! I can get the the relay to come on and the fuse link stays lit up...however the lights wont come on...they are some 110 WATT KC lites I picked up offof craigslist....(they didn't come with any wires...) the lights DO work...just can't get the switch to work cause my wiring skills sucks....sorry about the long message in ur build thread!

Man I know I haven't been on much because military life has been busy for me, but your Runner deeply motivates me to get mine close, but not as good as yours haha. I hope to someday meet you and shake your hand and wheel with you. I will soon be going on deployment but when I get back, thats when the gloves come off and I am going to seriously start getting into the mods. I thank you for the inspiration.

I wasn't always good at wiring, and i'm not claiming to be best at it now. Just like you, I didn't have any aptitude at all when it comes to electrical connections, but interest in learning kept me going.
