I have these Michelin*LTX Winter type tires on my GM truck .
10K miles on them and so far all good. also good rolling and not noisy.
rubber is solid not soft , wear is not noticeable . rarely I put in 4wd with these .

No kidding. When I bought my truck the end of November I read the reviews of the Bridgestones and started looking for something better in an all season M+S tire for beach driving and our infrequent ice storms with a little snow. The reviews made it sound as if the tires were completely worthless.
Then we got some snow. I have to admit I expected to slip and slide my way down my girlfriend's 150-foot paved driveway and then slide across the road into the ditch. It didn't happen. Even the street wasn't a problem at 25mph and it was packed ice from the large vehicles and trucks getting to and from the farm at the end of the street. And I'm retired, so it's not like I really have to get anywhere in a hurry. I imagine I'll be ready for a tire sale before next winter though - before I head to the mountains.
We'll probably buy new tires later on for both my 4Runner and her new 2016 Avalon Touring - because factory tires always have been mediocre - although I don't know what yet. Last year I put Michelin Premiers on her 190k-mile 2006 Camry and they handle well in the snow/ice. I also liked the 19" Goodyear TripleTreds on my '10 Highlander after nearly 40k miles, so we'll see.

My wife and I are originally from MA, but moved to Tyler, TX for a couple years. We moved back this last year, and miss TX everyday.

Awesome! Saw that you got your 4R from Falmouth Toyota. They are great there. We have bought a couple vehicles from them when Hyannis wouldn't deal.

Between November and March, here in Canada, is just snow. My 4th 4x4 truck (3 Jeeps in the past), a lot of experience in snow with 3 differences Tire and by far fhe new Falken A/T3W is the best IMO. Drove Duratracs & K02 in the past, can beat the Falken. Those tire are doing well between 2" or 2 Feet of snow.

I've bought many cars/trucks in my life and Falmouth Toyota is by far the best dealer I've ever dealt with. Not only is buying a car there a walk in the part, but the service department is has never screwed me. I hate service departments way more than sales guys.
