Yeah, I could see that. But good luck even finding "decent" motors. Not many exist. Plus, if I can get the basic block and VVTi heads then I can swap all my stuff over to the other engine. Tundra is just headers and engine mounts and maybe a couple of sensors to swap over. I was planning to replace AC Compressor, all TB/WP/ETC, and maybe put a stronger alternator in for off the grid but I think the stock one is OK. If I have the intake mani off I'll probably replace the starter since I'm in there. It's just the difference in rods is all. However, if I can't find an engine that gives me an warm and fuzzy I may send my block and heads to a machine shop to have them look it over and fix it up. Then I'll spend them money on rods if they are jacked so I can SC it down the road. Who knows...still have 2 bolts to get out of the tranny. Once it's out I'll take a better look.
