Bluetooth Controls with Kenwood Headunit Issue

So I recently purchased a 2009 4runner SR5 without the JBL Audio. I decided to add the factory bluetooth controls (Right Module/bluetooth buttons #84244-35030-B0 and Ribbon Cable #84204-58010) for use with my Kenwood DNX570HD. I followed CookieRoe's installation thread (http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-g...-steering-wheel-button-install-pics-real.html) I decided to have the system professionally installed, since I had no experience with the pac interface. When i picked it up from the installer they said they could not get the bluetooth controls to work because the auto recognition system was not recognizing the bottons but the volume, station controls, and voice command work. They said they contacted the manufacture of the pac system and they said it is impossible for it to work. Has anyone else had this happen? Can it be fixed? I just want to know before I take it out and send it back.
Thanks for any help.

If i'm not mistaken i believe i have the same head unit as you. I installed it on my own and it works. Not sure where your problem would lie, but when I couldn't get my buttons to work it was because I installed the ribbon backwards. Stupid question, but did you wire the head unit to the buttons?

The only buttons i programmed were volume +/-, track +/-, station +/-, change mode, call answer. The Pac didn't have a function for bluetooth commands or end call, is that what you're referring to?
