Bluetooth issues

two issues with the bluetooth lately: the streaming audio cuts out often when i have my iphone 4 hooked up.

with my wife's Samsung Galaxy, it simply wont connect/recognize the phone.

I'm less and less enchanted by the stereo and it's technical abilities after a year of ownership. I got a mustang rental today and the sync system works so easy, it's not even funny. any thoughts?

On the first item, is it perhaps cutting out when you receive an email or get some other update on your iphone? The push notifications on an iphone may be causing this. I know my iphone music cuts out temporarily when one of the above happens and I'm streaming music via BT.

With regards to bluetooth, my old phone was a HTC EVO 4G and that connected really quickly. Now I have the new HTC EVO 4G LTE and honestly it took almost 10 mins to connect to the stereo. I'm assuming the samsung is discoverable?...My wifes blackberry had no problems, but my buddies I phone did cut out when he got an e-mail or text.

My blackberry worked great on all bluetooths. My galaxy sII had problems with both my 4runner and my aftermarket (Pioneer) in-dash unit.

I recently used Samsung's Kies Air to update the firmware and all of the bluetooth problems appear to have been fixed.

I'd recommend trying that for your wife's phone and see if it helps.

it does fade out and back in when i get an email. but this will happen every few second, and just cuts all together.

I'll try the update on my wife's phone, I'm sure she hasn't done that.

I have a galaxy nexus and have had no problems with bluetooth in the 4runner even running custom ROMs. I would try deleting the phone from the car and re-adding it. I have to do this every time I install a new ROM
