Thanks for the info. I’m looking for the ECU that controls the interior lights.
Map lights function, doors open light comes on in the instrument cluster but no interior lights. There is no 3 way switch by rear view mirror.

For those that are still having the power door lock problem where the locks will unlock but will not lock using either the key fob or the door switches, I had this problem on my 1999 T4R Limited. I am here to validate that the thread by BRUISED on 10-17-2017, 09:52 AM is SPOT ON, at least for my situation.

I ordered a new TAIKO TB2-100P relay off eBay

I removed the body control unit referenced in BRUISED's posting by disconnecting all the wire harnesses and unbolting it from the dash, then removed the PCB from the housing. I found a shop in the Longmont, CO (Colorado Tech Shop) that was willing to remove the original relay from the PCB and solder on the new part. The quality of soldering was outstanding. After putting it all back together the power door locks function perfectly.

The part cost $6.13 including shipping, and it cost me $75 to have the soldering work done. Much much cheaper than buying a new body control unit from the dealer. And, I have a much higher level of confidence knowing that I have fixed the original OEM part that came with my vehicle instead of installing a used one from another vehicle that my or may not be the exact match.

Just posting in hopes someone on this thread is still around.

I’ve been dealing with some door lock gremlins that I chased all the way to the BCM control board as well. Bruiser’s post on removal was fantastic but now I am staring at a control board that looks like no other.

It seems I don’t have this TB2-100P relay that everyone else does. The truck is a 99 SR5 without the immobilizer. There’s an OMRON relay in a similar spot but before I go trying to replace it I figured I would see what the crowd thinks.

Here’s the shot of the control board. I plugged the harness back in without the cover on and could feel the left middle relay closing when the doors lock.

Looks like it’s an OMRON G8Q9-05.

Quick google search on that part number shows that Omron doesn't make the G8 anymore and there isn't a data sheet specific to it so it was probably an order made for toyota. Looking at their generic G8 series (different connection to the board) they are very similar in specs to the Taiko. Do some googling, decide if this is something your willing to destroy the board over, pick something available now that matches the specs of what you've got, make sure whatever you get has the same pin layout. It doesn't look like your board is any different than the others in this thread it just uses a different supplier for the components. GL
