Hi all,
I am new to the forum but I've now owned 2 3rd gen 4runner's (both 1998's). The one I currently drive daily has a 2in body lift and I've noticed while wheeling that the gas tank and of course the engine, trans, t-case all sit low in the factory position, obviously but I bottomed out a few to many times, I was wondering if anyone had remounted their gas tank up that 2in or maybe just 1.5in. I'm not interested in fabing up mounts for everything but the gas tank wouldn't be hard to custom mount. I was just wondering if any one had tried this before and may have some documentation on the operation. I don't really want to go fuel cell, I'd like to keep the factory tank in, just mounted a little more flush with the frame. A custom skid would probably ensue immediately upon completion.
