Ok so I have a 02 4runner with a 3 inch toytech susspension lift. I have been debating putting a body lift on it to get it up there just a bit higher anyone have any opinions or against it at all

I'm in the same boat. I can't decide if I want it or not.
The biggest factor...are you going to be running 35" tires?
If so..then you will want/need a body lift. If not - it's really just a waste of $ in my opinion.

If you don't need more tire to fender clearance there's no point in a body lift. Keep the center of gravity as low as possible.

Higher is better seems to be a prevalent attitude in the flatlands or Florida for some reason. I personally don't get it.

I say no. Like csp said you don't want to raise the COG any more than it is already. Especially with that tire on the roof already.

What size are your tires right now? The one thing that I think looks ridiculous is when the tire size isn't big enough for the lift. Probably why I'm debating 34's for just a 3" suspension lift. I love me some big tires. No need for a body lift unless you're running 35's and even then it can be done without a body lift.

Lol that's part of the debate on the boddylif because I plan on getting bigger tires I have 31s and I plan on 33s but at the same time 35s are only 100 more so if I do the body lift I could go 35s. I'm just worried the noddy lift will cause issues

But 35s will also call for different gears in your differentials and also trimming of the body...

35s won't clear without trimming and hammering, that's just a fact, if you're willing to trim and hammer, I'd recommend a 1" body lift and 35's, if not stick to 33's and no body lift. Also keep gearing in mind since it can get spendy.

A body lift is a lazy way to fit tires, and not optimal. You want 35s, get out the saw.

I did a 1.5" bl to clear some frame space to weld sliders on and to get ride of some rubbing while turning offroad. If I didn't do it for those two reasons I probably wouldn't have. But it is isn't hard to do if you do decide to!
