bolt on front recovery point options

hey, so the one spot on my frame that has some rust issues is the front tie down eyelet area. one side is missing the eyelet. im wondering if there is a bolt on option for a recovery point that i can mount to the other side perhaps...i really dont want to trust just one of those eyelets if i need a pull. thanks in advance. - Tom

btw i know that piece can be purchased and bolted up, but id rather not use those eyelets anyway.

anyone know of anything...how might the use of soft shackles be another option for front end recovery? still need a recovery point right or is there somewhere else you can use a soft shackle and pull from? maybe what i saw was just referring to them being used on the oem eyelets...

I'd just follow their instagram. They post before them on the website. They are seriously beefy. I supported the vehicle on jack stands underneath mine when I replaced my CV axle. They bolt on to 4 different points on the frame. Worth the wait IMO.

im going to consider them...was hoping to score one for less than $150 but
perhaps thats the going rate for anything comparable.
 
Look up trail tailor. They have bolt on recovery points that fit the lx/gx series which has the exact same front end as the 4runner. They aren’t as beefy as the apex overland ones but they’re solid. I have them on all 4 corners of my 4runner.

thanks. i sent them an email because i see most their tow points listed for different LC and their search bar for lexus came up with nothing. They look promising though, i appreciate that.

Get them from Treaty Oak Offroad. LINK The owner, Kyle, is a great guy.

Here's a picture of them installed on my 4Runner. I painted them red to confuse the Jeep guys. :pound:

:pound: I was going to come up with a crazy story about hitting a fence and getting wicked air . . .

But, you have to loosen the radiator mounting bolts and lift the radiator up a couple of inches to install the recovery points. It's to make room for the bolts which, as you can see, are installed from the inside out. Once they're installed, you remove the 2x4 and bolt the radiator back into place. It's actually very simple and TOR provides very clear instructions.
 
does the radiotor have to stay up like that with the block or did you drop it back down? doesnt seem too bad regardless.

Those damn fences just run right out there into the road. Esp hate when they freeze up under the glaring beam of the Bunny Burners. :D

I was figuring that was what you were using it for but wanted to ask, Hoping it was not ment to stay there.
