Bonyfattony's Build thread

New to the forum and I wanted to introduce you to my car! Well not necessarily new but I have lingered on the forum as a guest for quite awhile.

As of right now, this is how she sits!

<a href="http://s1275.photobucket.com/user/bonyfattony/media/D1BF4BAD-927C-4810-8502-87402811AA75_zpsfjhy8ztr.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1275.photobucket.com/albums/y441/bonyfattony/D1BF4BAD-927C-4810-8502-87402811AA75_zpsfjhy8ztr.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo D1BF4BAD-927C-4810-8502-87402811AA75_zpsfjhy8ztr.jpg"/></a>

<a href="http://s1275.photobucket.com/user/bonyfattony/media/IMG_1358_zpsxqwa2rxb.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1275.photobucket.com/albums/y441/bonyfattony/IMG_1358_zpsxqwa2rxb.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_1358_zpsxqwa2rxb.jpg"/></a>

This is the only picture I have of her stock.

<a href="http://s1275.photobucket.com/user/bonyfattony/media/465937_3700242220165_905645551_o_zps173985cb.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1275.photobucket.com/albums/y441/bonyfattony/465937_3700242220165_905645551_o_zps173985cb.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 465937_3700242220165_905645551_o_zps173985cb.jpg"/></a>

And then I found T4R.org. The only down side of a 4runner is wanting to mod it!

I have ordered my Shrockworks front bumper but everyone knows how long that takes to get...

More mods to come!

Looks great!

What size tire are you running?

I am running 275/65/18. I originally had spacers with 2 inches in the front and 1 inch in the rear so I went with a smaller wheel size. Now I have the Icon stage 1 and regret not having 285/65/18.

Latest Mod the Rotora BBK Big Brake Kit 355x30

Just installed the Rotora BBK Big Brake Kit. This thing is straight over kill. Too much stopping power (which is a good thing).

Pictures don't do this thing justice.

<a href="http://s1275.photobucket.com/user/bonyfattony/media/IMG_5177_zpsafd0548b.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1275.photobucket.com/albums/y441/bonyfattony/IMG_5177_zpsafd0548b.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_5177_zpsafd0548b.jpg"/></a>

Took off the existing rotor and caliper. One thing you should know is WD-40 saves lives.

<a href="http://s1275.photobucket.com/user/bonyfattony/media/IMG_5203_zps6cd9083a.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1275.photobucket.com/albums/y441/bonyfattony/IMG_5203_zps6cd9083a.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_5203_zps6cd9083a.jpg"/></a>

I painted the center hub with caliper matte black paint so it would match my wheel. I also had to trim the dust shield for the rotor to fit.

<a href="http://s1275.photobucket.com/user/bonyfattony/media/IMG_5188_zps6e0fec5b.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1275.photobucket.com/albums/y441/bonyfattony/IMG_5188_zps6e0fec5b.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_5188_zps6e0fec5b.jpg"/></a>

It took forever to install and bleed properly but came out amazing. This thing screams sex. Flushed it and used Dot 4 Castrol GTLMA brake fluid. I used about 64oz worth of fluid.

<a href="http://s1275.photobucket.com/user/bonyfattony/media/IMG_5199_zpsd1f0ee3c.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1275.photobucket.com/albums/y441/bonyfattony/IMG_5199_zpsd1f0ee3c.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_5199_zpsd1f0ee3c.jpg"/></a>

Im loving how things are coming along.

More to come!

It retails for $5500 front and rear. I made a deal with WhiteBeauty and he hooked me up. Awesome guy by the way. Too bad he switched to and Xrunner...

That looks real bad ass my friend! But with a price that steep it would be hard to justify for me! Congrats!:clap2:

I agree... but I got a good price for them and couldn't pass up on them. They are freaking amazing and my truck is coming together nicely.

Shrockworks 3 link Rock Sliders

I came across a set of Shrockwork sliders on the forum and picked those bad boys up the following day. They were the 3 link powder coated rock sliders.

I immediately dismounted the stock running boards.

<a href="http://s1275.photobucket.com/user/bonyfattony/media/IMG_0289_zpsb486ec09.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1275.photobucket.com/albums/y441/bonyfattony/IMG_0289_zpsb486ec09.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_0289_zpsb486ec09.jpg"/></a>

I called a buddy over and had them put on the following day. You would imagine 6 bolts would be pretty easy to do but it took us about 5 hours.... the bolt near the gas can is nearly impossible. Overall, the outcome came better than expected. I like how the powder coat is a semigloss and almost matches the original paint. It also gives the truck a more aggressive look.

Shrockworks Front Bumper Single Hoop

After waiting for 5 Months... I finally received my front bumper from Shrockworks. I will say, the wait is dreadful and long but you definitely get what you pay. It surely is quality over quantity. This thing is built to last.

I opted for the single hoop bumper. I prefer the look. I feel like it is more aggressive.

This is how it comes when delivered by UPS. It is extremely well packed and mounted directly to the pallet so there is no sway.

<a href="http://s1275.photobucket.com/user/bonyfattony/media/IMG_0300_zpsd34ef4d6.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1275.photobucket.com/albums/y441/bonyfattony/IMG_0300_zpsd34ef4d6.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_0300_zpsd34ef4d6.jpg"/></a>

The front bumper was removed. This took about 3 hours to do.

<a href="http://s1275.photobucket.com/user/bonyfattony/media/IMG_0324_zpsbb743233.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1275.photobucket.com/albums/y441/bonyfattony/IMG_0324_zpsbb743233.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_0324_zpsbb743233.jpg"/></a>

This definitely requires a second person to help put on. Her is the finished product.

Piaa 510 hid retro fit

I did a HID retrofit on my PIAA 510 with TRS HID's.

I drilled into those bad boys. Theres no going back now!

<a href="http://s1275.photobucket.com/user/bonyfattony/media/IMG_0357_zps3d598c40.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1275.photobucket.com/albums/y441/bonyfattony/IMG_0357_zps3d598c40.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_0357_zps3d598c40.jpg"/></a>

I drilled a 1 inch hole and put a grommet in the middle to hole the bulb.

<a href="http://s1275.photobucket.com/user/bonyfattony/media/IMG_0358_zps515c51d1.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1275.photobucket.com/albums/y441/bonyfattony/IMG_0358_zps515c51d1.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_0358_zps515c51d1.jpg"/></a>

Just like that, you have a PIAA HID retro fit.

I FOUND YOU lol

Bonyfattony

I think the 275/65R18 tires fit this well. Found this thread with a search as Im doing same ICON STAGE 1 with 275/65R18 stock wheels. No rubbing issues you have come across? I could be nuts but does it seem you have a slight rake with your front end dipping a tad lower than the rear?

Thanks!
