No, I didn't test the coil pack.
I did insulate the boot better though. Miss is gone now. I could see the crack in the boot and it is discoloured (brown). Truck runs fine now.
It could be the coil pack that caused the boot to crack, but would it not still miss and run rough?
Here's another beef. Changing the fuel filter. The front line was rusted into the filter - absolutely no way to get it off. So, I just cut the line and thought I would just buy a new nut and re-flare the end of the line. Well, no one sells a flare nut with 14m x 1.5 thread! Absolutely no one! Canadian tire sells me a new filter and a new line. But of course, the new line is imperial, not metric. Doesn't work. So, I go back up there and they can't even get one. No fittings, no nothing. There's not a parts store in Ontario with 14mm x 1.5 threads or a line with them. The imperial line (51") is $8.00. But, nothing in metric. So, to the dealer I go. Yes, they had to order one in at a cost of $68.00 plus tax - for a 4' 5/16 fuel line! At least the guy gave me a wink and a polite thank you on my way out! Unbelievably ridiculously overpriced!
Yea yea, i'm ranting. Sorry. I just hate it when I get taken for a ride! Of course, I could have had them change the filter for me for an hour and a half shop rate!
Anyways, what are those specs for the coil. I guess i'll check that now just to see...
