Borla exhaust sound clips - '03 V8

Brian,

I noticed on your profile that you have a magnaflow exhaust system. I saw one for about $560 the other day on the internet. How do you like it???

I'm assuming it's the model that puts dual pipes off to the passenger's side of the car. Is the sound nice? Was it easy to install (bolt-on?)

Anything you can think of that spurred your decision would be most helpful.

Well my exhaust is really a custom job, with a magnaflow muffler and split pipe out the rear of the truck...i know the one you are talkin about from Performance Products and i know people who have contacted magnaflow and its not made yet...but the magnaflow muffler i am happy with, it has a deep throaty sound to it which i really like

Finally installed!

I finally installed the Borla exhaust today! It sounds really nice. My only complaint so far is that while accelerating, around 2000 RPM it gets pretty loud in the cabin. After that it tapers off. I expected this, bit the difference in sound is pretty drastic. This is only when accelerating, while cruising it just sounds like you have some juice under the hood. I will try to get some pics and a little vid/sound clip once it stops snowing.

bool, that's my only complaint as well. The interior noise level goes way up around 2k rpm. Other than that, it sounds great. I'm going to try to minimize that noise by installing some sound deadening material behind the rear side panels. Hopefully that'll deaden it somewhat. I've already put two layers of damplifier from www.secondskinaudio.com on the rear floor but that didn't really have any effect on the exhaust noise.
