The Borla XR-1 muffler seems to make ANY car it gets installed in sound absolutely amazing.

Does anyone have a vid or sound clip of a 3rd Gen with an XR-1?

I had a pair of them in my RX-7...effin thing sounded like a Ferrari V12, no joke

I've heard some L67's (GM 3800 SC) with the XR-1's that sound like Supras or Skylines

I'd really love to hear what a 5VZ sounds like with an XR-1...tell me I'm gonna have to be the guinea pig on this one...?

havent heard the xr1 in person before, but my friend and i have compared his borla on his tacoma and my magnaflow, and to this day, people still ask me if its a borla on my rig

ive got a borla single in dual out that came off of a newer 4runner that had it stock... anyone know what that one is?

but 3RZ samples would be delicious in my tummy

especially with LCE headers and K&N FIPK...

I just ordered a 2.5 in/out brushed aluminum Borla XR-1 muffler!

Will be installed December 26th

Are you going to re-use the stock piping or put in new pipes? I've been told by Taco owners that putting 2.5 pipes makes it sound even better and doesnt hurt the low end power. Definetly can't wait to hear it, Which part number did you order?

nah I'm gonna just weld in the muffler to the factory piping...I've been putting off doing exhaust for the last 3 years because I wanted to keep my truck "comfortable"...but between the hum of the 33's and the 6+ inches of total lift I think "comfortable" went out the window a long time ago...

2.5" in/out, 12" long oval can

the stock muffler is 22" long so I'll have to add some pipe too, no big deal

My neighbors got that system on his Z06 and it sounds ridiculous. It should sound good on a 3.4. Can't wait to hear it!

it didn't come with 285/70R17 BFG MudTerrains, a 2" Body Lift, Borla exhaust, Jaos Spoiler, Pioneer AVIC-D3, cheezy HID kit or the coleman rack either but who's counting :banana:
