i'm hoping this thread becomes something helpful and useful to those who need a tool or part or physical item that another member has and is willing to let another user use it/have it/trade it.

I need a riveting tool with a M5 bit.

another member has this tool and is willing to let ForumMember use it & upon their Terms & Conditions, they may ask for a deposit incase tool isn't returned.

Shipping charges would also have to be considered.

I have a crank pulley tool that i made that has been sitting in my garage for years

another member needs this tool and is willing to agree upon ForumMembers Terms & Conditions, as they may ask for a deposit incase tool isn't returned.

This is a great idea.

Here are a couple things I have to lend out.

Socket for manual hubs. Needed it you plan on doing a manual hub swap, and want to keep your ABS.

Summit Machine Flex Joint Tools (small & medium). Medium tool is need for rear lower control arms. Small tool is needed for rear upper control arms, and pan hard.

yes! especially if you don't have an impact.

it helps tremendously with the timing belt job...
yes you can make your own but my whole premise for this thread is to help others...

some may never use this tool they made ever again....

and hence, pass it onto someone else for a short period until they pass it onto another,....


this tool holds it in place while you take off the bolt itself .... crucial IMO

if you keep the truck forever, you'll need it to do the belt. you just don't use it once. iv'e used the breaker bar against the frame method for years.

I have a home made SST for pulling and replacing rear axle bearings rings and what not. Made from a rear axle housing I cut off a junk truck. I'll post up a picture when I get home.

Please do. I've been putting off making my own for probably too long now. Should've done it when I did the seals but I needed the truck back up.

I have an M5 adapter, but not for that type of rivet tool. Mine is much smaller like a pop riveter, and the adapter is threaded on both ends, one for the tool the other for the rivet. I like the look of the tool in the picture, looks much easier and stronger.

Good idea on the thread, by the way. Props to the OP! Now if we can just find a way to teleport the tools across the country.

the whole idea of this thread is to help others out.

like I've mentioned, i need a circular saw bit to cut my hole in my fender for the snorkel.... I'm sure people have bought this item and may never use it again...
someone is nice enough to let me use and/or have it. i use the tool and then someone else needs it for their snorkel install, and not this item gets used instead of sitting in the garage for years...

i have some random items i will be posting to hopefully help others out.

they pay the shipping, because they need the item, and if the lender wants a deposit in case the item is not returned that can be discussed.


for the riveter, i can't see any other uses for myself if i bought one besides this one installation for nut-serts on my a-pillar to secure my snorkel...

if i do end up buying one it will def be an item i will "lend" out.
