So it's been months since I last posted on this forums---well, since I sold my 2010 SR5 4Runner back June 2011...
anyway, since then, I moved to Honolulu, HI, and had to get a car and the 5th gen was on the top of my list....I was looking for a 2010 or 2011 SR5 but wanted a roof, leather and premium audio, just like the one I had...in any case, Toyota Hawaii is a part of Toyoto Motor Sales U.S.A., so their ordering and preferences are a bit different than the mainland. Couldn't find me an SR5 with a moonroof anywhere (since I can have the leather installed afterward)....
After weeks of searching craigslist (since EVERYONE here sells their cars on CL), I went to Autotrader just to look...that's where I found my 4Runner. It was even the color I wanted (white). I went to the dealership and looked at the truck. It was in pristine condition with only 8,160 miles (automobiles have very low miles here in Hawaii, and this one was actually pretty damn low compared to the average mileage here in Hawaii)....it's a 2010 Limited 2WD with no nav and no running boards...the local Lexus dealership here had it listed on Autotrader for $32,990. I knew it was a good deal the moment I saw it online (so long as the condition is good or better)...well, I left paying $32,762+TTL, since they considered me as an employee there (since I will be working there soon)...yeah, so I got $228 off...I didn't even negotiate....hehe....
The Limited was really what I wanted after I sold my SR5 because of the X-REAS suspension...I didn't like the major nosedives and bounciness of the SR5, and I'm so glad I bought it.....and of all the cars I've previously owned (Acura TL-S, 350Z, G35 coupe, 370Z), the 5th Gen T4R is overall my favorite....my choices for a car were the T4R, current gen Acura TL SH-AWD, or a G37-S coupe....the T4R was my first choice and I'm so glad I found it....the only thing I wish is different is the interior color. I wanted the tan interior, but the charcoal is actually really growing on me...
