Hi all,
I am a new member and new 4runner owner. Huge fan of this forum. My 4runner is an 07 sport with the xreas suspension. As my idiot buddy (professional mechanic) was installing my toyotech 3/2 leveling kit, he disconnected the xreas line from the strut and the hydraulic fluid leaked. We put the spacers in, and my buddy thought it would be a smart idea to just put some "recharge" the xreas system by adding hydraulic fluid. Keep in mind that only the front leaked. We had no reason to disconnect the line from the rear to add the spacer.
After finishing it all up, I drove my 4runner and it seemed bounties than usual. The front is somewhat okay after adding the hydraulic fluid but the back seems bouncier. However little dips on the freeway make the front bounce about three or four times and then settle. My buddy claims it's because of the added compression on the coils! Is he right? Is it bouncier because of the extra compress on on the coils? Or did he really F-up lol??
Any advice would be great! I'm adding the extra lift because I want to replace the dunlops with 285-70-17 revo2. I also think it'll look great. Do I need new shocks?? Any help would be appreciated
