Brake Fluid??

Simple question that would be easy if the 4runner was at home, but I need to know which kind of BRAKE FLUID is recommended for out 4th gens???? I don't know if it's DOT 3,4,5?? Please help as need to change and refill the brake fluid today!! Thanks! :bigok:

DOT 3 for my '04.

DOT 3 or 4 will work. DOT5 will not. DOT5 is not hygroscopic which means it will not absorb any moisture in the system, unlike DOT3 or 4.

I usually use DOT4 or DOT5.1 depending on what's nearby. I'm around this stuff all the time at work.

DOT 3 will be fine for most people so long as you don't boil over your fluid. Otherwise, there's no point in paying out more money.

DOT 4 has higher boiling points, but 5.1 will let the ABS pulsate faster cause it's thinner. It's what I usually use.
