I'm no tech but when panic braking the wheels don't lock up even in snow and rain. The ABS don't even kick in there not even a slid mark on the road
What does happen is the 4runner jumps forward every time. You can even feel it in the brake pedal to
what it feels like to me is the brake are not holding the wheels tight and the wheels are sliping from the brakes and this giving it that forward jump from the brake grabbing the wheels again. (they keep slipping unto it has come to a complete stop)
first time i had believe the ABS was not working and didn't even think that it may be the brakes sliping so i bring it to toyota to be fix they tell me the front brake has seized but it has already done damage to the front rotors and brakes so they was replace (rotors , brake pads, brake holder thing, calipers, fluid flush)
he said the computer didn't find any errors with the ABS and that this can be what is making the ABS not working as the breaks would always be on and after fixing this they should work but after the fix was done the 4runner still does the same thing no ABS jumps forwards when panic braking
and if anyone want to know i put all the force i can onto the brake pedal thinking maybe it needed more force.
when stopping any other time the pedal does go like 1/2 way down before u even feel it grabbing the wheels.
I'm taking it back in to be looked at on Friday to see what going on but i want to see if anyone here knew what it may be
PS) anyone know how many clicks should the E-break make before it is all the way lock ? seen before about someone saying the head one is 9 clicks the feet one for me is 13 but i think it only stops bc it cant go down any farer lol
Ty you for anyone who know anything about what im talking about and sorry for any spelling errors.
