Brake upgrade?

The t100 caliper has bigger pistons ,only by a few mills so not sure it worth swapping . Best option is rotors and pads , and adjust your rears properly .

I upgraded my 1st. gen 4runner brakes to 2nd. gen 4runner brakes and that made a big difference in stopping power, i'm very happy with the results, i'll keep an eye on this thread and see what's available for the second gen. brake upgrade.

This. The second gen V6 calipers are the upgrade. :D

Ya the v6 calipers are actually more then enough. You just got to put some good rotors and pads on them. Also change out the fluid. That will make a big difference.

This may be a really dumb question... but what is the easiest, fastest way to do a complete brake fluid flush? I popped my reservoir cap the other day and it looks like dark grey jelly.... YUCK!

Suck out all of it from the bottle and the fill with new then bleed each wheel until new fluid comes out

Removing the LVSP helps with the breaks. I could never get any of mine fully bled. Once I removed them, the pedal was much stiffer. I did the summit adjustable on the 87, and just removed it all together and ran a straight line to the rear on my 92. Breaks have never been better. Will lock up the 38s on dirt (haven't tried on pavement yet because the truck doesn't see pavement)

What's the info on doing this? Just run straight line to a T to the rear? Anything else required to delete the LSPV? I'd really like to get rid of it, my pedal goes almost to the floor before the brakes engage enough to start slowing down the vehicle... I know they need rebuilt, but I think (like you said) deleting the LSPV would help a ton... Will it throw any lights on my dash?
