Radiator Brand

Hi,

Any ideas on radiator brands. Just bought 2001 runner with 199,000 miles. Has Toyota red coolant that looks clean.

However, it is for my son who just went away for college. He is not as freakish about mx as I am, so it is best that I just get it done.

Mechanic at dealership who checked it out for me mentioned that the ATF was a bit ...gritty... maybe I just read that here and did not mean gritty.. maybe chalky..??

I am leaning toward Koyo ($150) or Denso ($100). OE will probably be to expensive.

Any pros or cons?? Any other brands to look at??

OE radiator

Maybe OE radiator not as high as I thought. I saw $204 but lost the page and could not retrieve it. I will check with dealer parts next week.

My question is OE worth twice the cost??
