BREW THRU's...

I remember visiting Cleveland with a buddy of mine while in college. We went to a Brew Thru and the guy handed me and my bud some drinks in cups with ice and straws. We paid and drove off!

Ahhhhh....the good ol' days of partying and not having a care in the world.

I'm sure there are no cups given these days...this was in the 90's But it's still pretty cool for the laziest of us that don't want to even get out and walk in the store to get the beer

Theres an old Taco Bell in Boulder that was turned into a drive through liquor store. Quick and convenient, loved it!

Back in the '70's when getting stopped by the cops, they'd make us pour out the remainder of our beer and tell us "now you boys drive safe going home".

I'm pretty sure they still have the drive-thru daquiri stands in New Orleans. I remember stopping at one (we went in so I could see what it was like inside) and being amazed at all of the deliciously sugary alcoholic concoctions that I could ever want!

I had no idea so many states had these. I'm living in CA now and bet there are none in the state?

Ha, Indiana wouldn't ever dream of having these. We are the only state in the country that doesn't allow alchohol sales on Sundays! How stupid is that. I do remember going through one in Ohio when I was younger though, I thought it was awesome.

HAHAHA I remember being a young "of age" guy in VA and having to go to the ABC store to get alcohol and beer sales stopping at like 10pm and stupid stuff like that.

I recently moved from FL back to CA and both of these states sell alcohol and beer just about everywhere. In CA you get can beer, alcohol, some weed, condoms and some chicken for the munchies in 2 stores joined together---LOL---"one stop party shopping"

Ya, its stupid...plus the fact that you can't buy and vehicles on Sundays. They have the dealerships open to look at them, but you can't make any financial deals or negotioations...back-a**ward state!

Yeah and this is probably why i've never seen one down here. In NE Ohio, where I was raised, they're everywhere... great concept IMO, quick and easy as long as you're responsible

I went to college in Hampton. My brother lives in VA Beach and I still visit from time to time.

terra4r...I don't think you have to bother looking, you will NEVER see anything like that in the good ol' commonwealth of VA my friend.

Only a handfull of municipalities offered the vote - of those, voters chose to allow Sunday sales. You could o to a bar or restaurant and drink, just not buy it on Sunday and take home for consumption. Governors made a point in their campaign to say you better be prepared enough to buy on Saturday if you want to have it at home on Sunday.

Ya Conneticut just did the same, which left Indiana as the last state not to allow any sales on Sundays. You can go to bars and stuff too, just not bring any home. I've gotten used to stocking up on Saturday, but sometimes you just forget, and then you're screwed.
You'd think they would want more sales, which would net more tax money, but nope.
