Yes, but we fixed that issue by adding (2) 10 mm trim packers on top of each rear coil to hold em in there. For me it worked out perfectly because my heavy bumper/tire sagged the rear ~.75" anyways and the 20mms worth of spacers brought it back up to where it was with the stock bumper so my ride height/rake stayed the same. And I got to keep my 891s which I like better for my setup than LC coils because they handle the 6 or 700 extra lbs I'm carrying around with the bumper, full armor, sliders, spare, Hi-lift, extra gas can, tools, gear, etc... Aaaaaand I get to disprove all the OME haters that say 891s don't flex well, muhahahaha!

Our link system should work with the 8 or 9 wrap LC coils also as they should be long enough to stay seated also, but I won't say for sure until someone tests it.

Alright. I've never been in a position to flex enough for my coils to shift out of place but it is something I have worried about. I have the same 891s in the rear but currently have much less weight than you. I may have to figure out another way to secure them in there as I am almost perfectly level right now and don't really want to change that. Maybe secure the cone bump stops to the perch?

That coil lock would be good if you wanted to use our links on a smaller lift, but we aren't having any problems with ours because of the added trim packers.
 
Brian your 4runner and the work you do on it is awesome. You give those of us with inferior rigs something to look up to. That rear bumper is a beast and I hope somewhere way down the line I can afford one.

Thank you, it's always nice to hear that people appreciate the work (and $$) I've put into this thing. Yours is well on it's way to becoming a mean machine too, you don't have too far to go, but it never ends. Guys like Scotty from Addicted Off Road make mine look like I've only just begun.

Thanks for the review. I don't think I'll have any issues then, with a lower lift and much less flex. That is the one of two remaining components down there that can't support the full weight of my truck.

Mine flexed too much... and got comfy with gravity! Had to get stiffer ones with less travel.

Funny how my truck has been being modified to be less capable in favor of carrying more crap lately... The rough stuff just doesn't thrill me like it used to...

I am thinking about being that Guinea Pig!!! I have been secretly thinking about running the LC coils in the rear with your links and trek master shocks. For research and development proposes of coarse.:biggrin2:

I think I am going to pull the trigger very soon on the trek masters and the LC coils also 883 front to go with winch and bumper with a future addition of budbuilts. Should turn out tight in the front and just a bit sloppy in the rear.:whip2: Will probably stick to my factory links till after the first of the year.

LOL'd. That's pretty much how mine feels. I would also get the coils and shocks and then skids before the links. You'll want armor before you have a chance to really use the links for what they can do.

Oooooooohhhhhh heeeeeeeeell yaaaaaaaaaa! I want to run soem of the hammers like Clawhammer and the 1st 3/4 of Aftershock as soon as my junk is up and going strong. Bull frog and Mottino Wash are on the top of the list too.
 
I plan on spending the week after KOH in Johnson Valley. I am pit crewing this year, but once the race is over I am staying a few more days to run some trails.

Its been too long since I've run those trails, and I can't wait to get back out there again.

You guys up for it? I can show you around out there.
