Did you end up getting a tire carrier too? I know you were leaning towards just the lower.

Nah, just the lower for now. I really want to use the stock location, but it sounds like it isn't going to work. I did get the lower half with the Spindle so I can add the carrier (or make one) at a later date possibly.

The bumper came in today!!!!!! Here's some first pics..

Sweet that thing looks HUGE in the back of your runner. Did your back sag much when you loaded it up?

It is HUGE! No, I didn't really notice any sag to speak of. I would say once it's mounted up with the tire hanging on it, it'll probably sag <.5" so those 10mm trim packers should do the trick. It's pretty freakin heavy to man handle though! Probably 160-170 lbs I would guess. Definitely a 2 man job to install this thing.

was wondering why it was moutned yet...LOL If you had stayed down the mountain I might have been able to help tonight. Anyways can't wait to see it mounted.

Nice!! I bet you are prepping that bad boy for paint as we speak. Can't wait to see it in person it is going to look sick!

SWEET! congratulations! They are so damn heavy, mine actually bent the tailgate rim a bit on my Tacoma getting it home.. lol

The build quality is fantastic, easy to admire. Let's see what it looks like installed!

That's the CBI bumper right? What's the deal with them? Are they like Armorology where every bumper is one-off custom made for you?

Awesome! Can't wait to see it on the rig. The spare carrier is going to be sweet! Did you buy an extra Crager/Maxxis combo? What is your spare setup?

Liny- It is a semi-production piece. I don't think they stock them but will build it upon order but same bumper each time with options like with or without swing away. Similar to the Shrockworks front bumper and hoop options. Or like the front being built for my truck hopefully turns into a production piece.

Yeah the workmanship is outstanding. All the welds look like a machine, but they're all hand done.

Yeah it's what Pikeman said. He did one and made a jig so the rest of us can enjoy too!

looks nice dude..

Thanks!

Thank you. I'm running a 255/85 Summit Mud Dawg (which happens to have the same exact tread pattern as my Bighorns) on my factory spare.

So I got it painted today which took pretty much all day with 2 coats of primer and 3 coats of semi-gloss black. I was going to slap that thing on tonight, but looks like my buddy can't open the shop for me till about 10pm which is pushing it for lateness. So, the plan is to go down tomorrow to install it at my parents house and pick Pikeman up on the way to help me out (thanks bud!!). My Dad has a forklift that will make it a lot easier to hold up when we go to line up the and drill the holes in the frame.

For now, here's some pics in the painting stages:
All wiped down with acetone...

I'm assuming CBI doesn't ship? How much did it run you?

Yeah made in Idaho, shipped to CA. They ship through a retail company called Fastenal that has locations all around the country and I picked it up from one of their stores. Shipping is a flat $150. The bumper was $1239.00 with all the extras like gas can holder, Hi-lift mount, CB antenna tab, adjusted for 1" BL, etc.. You can even just get the lower part too (no swing away) for $599 I believe.

Gee Brian, you didn't want to paint it white to match your truck? Or maybe Gray to match the Rocks you are going to hit with it? :D Paint looks good!

That's not too bad...I just want shackle tabs, a swing away and a hitch...how'd you order it? Any time I go to the website I can't find a way to order...
