When is the dash mod coming??????

1) Sorry about the lack of updates. About the dash mod, I have to order new LEDs at which point I will redo the dash lighting and also replace the clear plastic.

Out of curiosity, what made you get the spacers machined rather than order the Spiderax or something of the like?

2) I ordered the spacers locally because my GF gave me a gift cert to the Truck Shop in San Diego and the owner James does order parts from SpiderTrax but he got them from a local machinist no problem. Gift certificate was put to good use.


3) Pretty major update. I am in the process of buying a BMW 330i to replace DD a Camry.

Does the Truck Shop do custom sizes for spacers? I really want a .5-.75' spacers to clear the Tundra brakes, but no one makes that size.

I think there is a guy on UltimateYota who has some custom hub-centric spacers made to his exact width specs.

I definitely wouldn't run a spacer like that. Thats gotta put a lot of stress on those studs. I'm not even comfortable running my 1/4" spacers.

Small updates...

I decided I really need to fix my idling and charging system issues.

I have been on the fence about just ordering a used throttle body and IAC as well as an alternator.

I finally took the plunge and bought this alternator off a wrecked Tundra with 87k miles for $65 shipped

Just was looking back and saw the price went up to $63 today.

Agreed. I originally read about the sale on BFAD's thread. I was hesitant but luckily I got it in time.

I am not sure how I plan to mount it. I still need to figure that out. I haven't really researched it yet.

I bought 1 used alternator and 1 used TB. Both should be here this week.

I plan to do the big-3 upgrade along with the alternator. The used alternator only has 87k and will likely outlive my engine which has 213k miles. I got it for $65 shipped vs. $250 for a new Toyota one. It comes with a 6 month money back warranty from a reputable TX auto yard that also sells via EBAY.
