That is a great pic. Such an eerie setting to go wheeling in, must have been fun!

Amber LED strips finally installed!
What is the purpose of the amber LED strips? I admit there could be a thing or two I might not know.

They are just for looks. I think they look cool, particularly from a distance. No other purpose.

I thought they could be turn signals but I could also see them being useful
when stopped behind someone to let them know you're there without blinding
them with your headlights on.
They do look cool. The entire truck is damn good looking.

Thanks! It was really short notice. I did post up in the SoCal section but didn't get any takers. GVL was already going on a different run with family and friends. Btw the time he contacted me back via phone we had already started on the trail and I had turned my phone off.

4-Ripcord, thanks for following! I will definitely keep you in mind. I have one set with LED Halo and circle lens and another with no LED Halo but square lens and shroud. The square halos are just no cost effective for me to build although any buyer can add them pretty easily after the purchase.
Glad to hear it! Yes it was a pretty fun little trip. The forest was very eerie.
Thanks! Making them turn signals is possible but it would be a bit of a trick to setup since I want these on all the time and the turn signals are a different circuit where the lights are off all the time and only come on when the signal is engaged.

The truck and I are finally back from Utah after 10 days.
Casualties:
* Horn doesn't work
* E-flashers don't work
* One retrofit headlight lost alignment
Gas tank skid is loose
* Passenger side CV boot is leaking
I probably need an oil change after so many hours of running at 3500-4000 RPM. Everything else is good.
Will post pictures soon. It was great getting to go on some runs with [MENTION=95069]TBuzz[/MENTION] (Chris) and [MENTION=107971]derpiful[/MENTION] (Hayden). Met lots of other interesting characters out there as well.
Will post some pics soon.

Here are 3 pics with a good amount more coming tonight.
BTW here is trail damage report as of Friday night. There were still 2 days of wheeling left when we departed back for SD. Keep in mind these are mostly Taco parts but apparently at least 3 3rd gens had rear diff issues.
Despite all the carnige reports myself and my friend Rob's truck (which is a stock 08 Tacoma) made it out without any major damage.
We did:
* Top of the World
* Fins & Things
* White Rim Trail
* Mountain Biked: Magnificent 7 (well part of it) down from the top of Gemini Bridges area

We actually parked it about halfway up but now that I've been on the trail I think he could have made it carefully taking the easy lines.

I saw you man! I didn't get the chance to meet you though. I wish I could have taken some runs with you, but alas, my 4runner decided it didn't want to work the way I wanted it to. Great pictures!
