what does it take to wire these up? i have little to no electrical knowledge aside from wiring ceiling fans to existing wiring.

It's not bad, I just used an add a fuse and a pre made harness I bought on amazon and I believe it came with instructions. Mainly just stripping and crimping wires

Just ordered them, $8.00 total and free two day shipping:thumb3:

Did you take off your bumper to wire these? And if so, was it necessary to take it off?

Yes I did, it wasn't hard to do at all. I'm not sure I couldn't be done with it on, but with it off, I was able to sip toe the wires up high so they wouldn't fall down and stayed up out of the way.

Okay, thank you! I just now edited my post and had a question on the wiring. Did you need a relay for it? Or could you simply hook the wires up to a switch?

If your rigs are equipped with the 7-pin trailer connector, there's a reverse light circuit in it, it'll easily power a pair of those small LED assemblies. I did this on my parents' GX470, bought the trailer side connector from K-Mart or Walmart.

Gotcha, my only issue is that I don't want it wired into my reverse lights, I really want the freedom to turn them on when I please if that makes any sense.

Yeah, I wired mine separately so I could use them independently. I did use an individual harness..if you look on my build thread I think there's more detail/pics I looked for them on my phone but can't find them

Okay, will do! What's the purpose of the individual harness?

I just looked in my build and yeah there's a few more pics that should help, but I just bought the harness because at the time it was really the first electrical mod i had really done so i was new to wiring and all that. the harness came with a relay and everything is why i went that route. At some point down the road I plan on getting a Blue Sea fuse box and I'll probably rewire them then.
