what does it take to wire these up? i have little to no electrical knowledge aside from wiring ceiling fans to existing wiring.I have 50 bucks in this setup and it works fine for me

It's not bad, I just used an add a fuse and a pre made harness I bought on amazon and I believe it came with instructions. Mainly just stripping and crimping wires

Did you take off your bumper to wire these? And if so, was it necessary to take it off?
Edit: another question, did you need a relay for this? Or can you simply hook these wires up to a rocker switch/button switch?

Yes I did, it wasn't hard to do at all. I'm not sure I couldn't be done with it on, but with it off, I was able to sip toe the wires up high so they wouldn't fall down and stayed up out of the way.

Gotcha, my only issue is that I don't want it wired into my reverse lights, I really want the freedom to turn them on when I please if that makes any sense.

Yeah, I wired mine separately so I could use them independently. I did use an individual harness..if you look on my build thread I think there's more detail/pics I looked for them on my phone but can't find them

I just looked in my build and yeah there's a few more pics that should help, but I just bought the harness because at the time it was really the first electrical mod i had really done so i was new to wiring and all that. the harness came with a relay and everything is why i went that route. At some point down the road I plan on getting a Blue Sea fuse box and I'll probably rewire them then.
