So I live in Portland, OR and I was out working in Pullman, WA (356 miles from doorstop to jobsite). I received the long anticipated call from the UPS delivery for my Shrockworks sliders and underbody armor! Excited I setup the time for today between 10-2pm. I got in late last night, quickly looked online to my own dismay that it still listed in transit from Texas. My first thought was that the tracking status hasn't updated. So my impatient self just need to do the courtesy check/call. My first phone call was to the 1800number to UPS....
"Thank you for calling...yes I see the tracking number and we show it to not be arriving till Wednesday the 18th of February...long pause by me as i process this...what do you mean? You guys called me and schedule today. I left work and drove here to be HERE to pick it up and install it....It shows that for some reason it got delayed at the Texas location....pause again...so when were you going to call me and inform me that it was delayed...no response...."
So several local phone calls to the UPS freight/delivery here and I found out that it wasn't at the delivery UPS office, but it was slated to arrive at the Freight warehouse and if I wanted I could try to get it there today. I felt slightly better, called them and ran into this:
"ohh we don't have anyone who can unload that till 2pm or later..pause...can i go unload it? Nope you can't, has to be unloaded and scanned, etc (blah i know..sigh worth a shot right? ;P)"....so to make this shorter..haha...
Now I will not be getting it till Next Friday due to having to return back to Pullman, WA. Least I know I WILL have it by next Friday installed!!
On a site note, Shrockworks originally quoted me that I would not be receiving this till after March 1st. I am excited to see that they beat the quoted time and it was UPS's ball that was dropped..
PS - I know this could not be more of a run on sentence with incorrect grammar, but i'm so frustrated and angry..why else call =(. Oh and UPS wasn't going to call me today either according to the lady as it wasn't showing past transit.
