broken odometer display?

can this be fixed or does it have to be replaced?

any thoughts?

Wow thats weird, never seen that before but maybe someone else can chime in on that cuz I haven't be on here very long. Technically speaking you could probably solder a new LCD screen in but I think you would have a hard time finding parts so you might just have to replace the cluster.
 
Looks like your 4Runner just started speaking Star Wars language. I think it's saying you have an older code, but you can still land on the Forest Moon of Endor. :P

But seriously, i would actually call Toyota and ask them or look into finding a replacement part. Never seen that before though.
 
Pretty sure youll have to replace the cluster. If you get it thru the dealer be sure to bring your registration or title to prove ownership. (They take odometer fraud seriously.)
 
the odo still works and counts up.. does anyone with experience with these kind of displays know if its the display thats broken, the board that broken? or maybe just a bad connection?
