Broken Rear Upper Trailing Arm

Soooo....I've been wondering why the 4Runner has been acting a little squirrelly under braking and there has been a strange metallic pop/twang when I have some cargo in the back of the rig.

Crawled under it today, expecting to see a sacked out rear coil or a dead shock.
NOPE.

Looks like I need a new driver side upper trailing arm. Now, I know there are stock/OE replacements on Amazon, but I wanted to know if anyone knows of an upgrade or aftermarket option.

Saw that Sonoran Steel has some beefy lower arm options.

Looks like most discussions on the T4R.org has been about replacing the bushings on the upper arms, but not much about replacing the entire arm. Someone out there must be making something, right?

He makes upgraded upper and lower control arms. I'm sure he can hook you up!

Both of mine broke and I put in on the lift to go check it and the axle swiveled forward... Definitely a good catch

if MStudt makes some, that would be a good place to start. Another option would be to buy one of the OE replacement ones and weld on a U-shaped piece of larger tubing (or even angle iron) to "sleeve" the stock arm. Heck, you could probably repair your broken one using the same method. If using the broken one (or if you're comfortable cutting a new one), you could sleeve it completely in round tubing.
