BudBuilt Sliders in Maryland

I just purchased a 2014 Limited and need to get some sliders or running boards soon. I like the Budbuilts since they are multipurpose but would really like to see them in person before ordering. I was hoping someone on here would have them located in Maryland and maybe i could check them out.

i'm a fan of the budbuilts i have on my '12 Trail Edition. Someone should correct me if i'm wrong, but with the SR5 or Limited, the lower rocker panel has to be removed or modified.

With the 2014 limited to mount sliders you will need to cut the rocker panel, take it off, or replace it the 2014 sr5/trail versionhttp://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/150296-2014-trail-rocker-trim.html. I am going to swap out the rocker for the 2014 trail/sr5 version so it looks stock. I also looked at the budbuilt bump out sliders with tread plate because I want them to be steps for the wife. There are alot of members that use the bud built sliders and love them for setps however because of the angle (I think you could ask bud to make it more level) I went with the shrockworks step sliders like thebwlife shows here

They work awesome. the step is the way to go! Finished them up last night. Ordered 2/10/14 and received 6/5/14. The lowest part of the slider is even with the bottom of the frame rail.

if you have a 2014 limited like me, the budbuilts do are not compatible wit the limited if you have the x-reas suspension. check your manufacturer sticker to see if you have it on yours. i think it was standard on limited. i might be mistaken. on the budbuilt website it says it only fits a limited without x-reas and they said they have plans to make one for the limited with x-reas but there is no time frame yet when i called.

the OFOR and Metaltech both dont work with the 2014 limited x-reas as well. Shrockworks I am not sure if they do but if they do you need to use the trail rocker panel and take off the stock one which makes takes away from the limiteds look.

You can try the nfabs with Rides spacers. those would fit since they attach to the body, not the frame where the x-reas lines are. No removing the lower rocker panel.

if you have even more cash to burn I would say wait a month or two. I hear there is a better option coming out from another manufacturer that would be worth the wait and should be announced soon.

I'm down in Northern Virginia and have a set of them on my 2012

Where in Maryland or do you ever make it down this way?

Thanks for all of the replies, I thought the budbuilt worked with the limited but I must have read wrong. I do not want to remove the rocker trim so i guess i will be looking at some different running board options. I really wanted something to act as a step and protect a bit from door dings… the search continues

I think this member was after the same thing you may want to go with side moldings and factory running boards.
