BudBuilt sliders vs Hi LIft

Hey all - wondering if people had been okay using BUdBuilt regular sliders as a jacking point using a Hi LIft out on the trail? Any lasting bending or just some flex, or no problem? Thanks

Just saw this tonight while perusing other stuff. I have no experience with sliders, but for their intended use in deflecting hard hits I would think using them as a jacking point would be light duty.

Lotus Slider Adapter

No problems. Yes, you need the adaptor and I highly recommend the Bogert Hi-Lift Stabilizer

Phillyd2- thanks for the answer and the pic, that's a setup I hadn't seen before. What adapter are you referring to? I'm assuming it is for the lift "jaw" but I am unable yo find it so far. Thanks :thumb:

The Lotus Slider Adapter Lift Jack Rock Slider Adapter - Lotus Development does make the use of a Hi-Lift a lot safer.

Hi-lifts are a necessary evil. The work well but they can be very dangerous.

Sliders are made to carry the weight of the vehicle sliding over rocks. I haven't used the BB sliders but I would expect them to be fine to Hi-Lift off of.

BudBuilt bolt on sliders will carry the weight of the vehicle and can be used as a hi-lift point; I've tested it myself. I think noticed a bit of flex in the slider, but it did not come close to contacting the rocker panel.
As mentioned earlier in this thread, a slider adapter and knowledge of safe hi-lift use are very good things to have, as hi-lifting is to a certain degree an inherently dangerous operation.
