BudBuilt Sliders vs. Shrockworks Sliders???

I am trying to decide which brand of slider to go with for my 2012 TE. What are the pros and cons of each, and what would you recommend? Please help...

Just installed my Shrockworks sliders. I have never even seen the Budbuilt ones. I have been very happy with the Shrockworks in the past I had them on my 2009 Taco that I traded for my 4runner and also on my 2003 Jeep Wrangler. Very good quality. Sometimes they take a while to get so do not buy them if you are in a hurry.
 
Demello has some nice ones. Just go with what you like. I went with Demello cause I can pick them up and save on shipping.
 
I think a lot of the sliders out there are well made. What tilted me toward the Bud Builts are the kick outs. Everyone I know who has kick out sliders swears by them and won't go back to straight sliders.
 
I had Shrockworks on order but cancelled and went with the HEAVY bump out sliders from Bud. I could not be happier. The quality is excellent, Bud took the time to talk to me about sliders and my truck which means a lot and helped me make a decision.

Bump out sliders are the way to go if you plan on using them, also, the bump out makes a damn handy step for loading stuff on top of your rack!

I have a friend with Demello's and didnt care for how close in the the body they are, you couldnt really use them as a step and it seemed like they might not work as well as some of the others that stand away from the body like the Shrockworks and Buds. Never seen the Rocky Road Sliders.

Other thing to consider is how them mount up.... I dont know about the others but my Bud sliders bolted up to the frame with 4 beefy tube legs and do not flex at all, I commonly use the sliders as a lift point when I an working on my truck.
 
does any one have the budbuilt rock sliders with the full tread plating? would love to see pictures.. also wonder if they fit on a limited better than shockworks would..

I have the Shrockworks. There is no doubt they are stury and well connected to the frame. I've tossed my truck across a few rocks with no problems to the rocksliders or my frame (can't say the rear tire flaps are doing as well). Shrockworks don't come with kick-outs and if I had known about the Bud-builts with kick-outs I probably would have gone with those instead.

I went with Shrockworks because I wanted the best armor for my rig (plus good experiences in the past). I didn't want kick-outs as they would just snag on rocks and whatnot when wheeling. If I want roof access, I just stand on the tires. :)

Proper kickouts should push your truck away from the obstacle (or the obstacle away from your truck) so it doesn't run along the slider then hit a rear panel or your tires. Don't think I've ever seen someone's kickout get snagged on something.

I won't dispute that since I was just making a quick observation. I figured since they are called "sliders" that it might be a better idea to not have kick-outs if you go wheeling often.
 
I'd say it's the other way around - better to have kickouts if you do go wheeling often on more technical trails where you use your sliders.

also helps avoid door dings and scratches.
 
Bump out sliders are the way to go for heavy wheeling. As someone already mentioned, they are designed to move your rig away from whatever obstacle could otherwise be chewing up your rocker panels
