Also thinking very, VERY hard about selling my CBI Bumpers and picking up a set of the Savage Offroad bumpers (Front and Rear). That way, I don't modify these, I get a front bumper with headlight hoops like I'm looking for, plus I get a rear bumper built for a body lift and I get a double swing out setup. Three huge advantages for me. I plan on calling him and seeing about shipping quotes to Alaska. The CBIs were about $350 each, so I'll say $450 if they were both on a pallet. I posted this idea to a couple local groups on FB and I'll see if anyone may be interested.

I think those Savage bumpers are a solid choice if you go that route. Savage also has a ton of rear bumper options for their swing out.

I'll have to call him and talk about his front bumper. I confused his with 4X Innovations.

After looking at his, I don't know if he can put hoops on his and keep the top, horizontal piece truly horizontal. The ones that slope downward to meet the center hoop, just don't do it for me. I do have one possible hit on the back bumper locally, and even one guy on here interested in both of them. So it's a good possibility it'll happen.

Cleaned up the wiring today which was pretty hard to make look good. The 6 awg wire I pre measured and had a shop cut and put end on for me since I don't have a crimp tool that will do lugs that large yet. They messed up almost every single one of my measurements. But you get the idea on my wiring, and what's doing what. I have room for more connections on that fused distribution block so the sky's the limit. I will clean it up more once the battery is in there for it's final time.

I see you have a Hall effect amp meter. I have the same I think rated to 400a I use to test charging systems. See if alt is putting out max etc......I love it.

Dude, totally missed this post!!! Sorry for never responding. Still have them. The local guy who was interested never replied. Tell you what, when I get home in a few weeks, I'll try to go to Lynden Transport and get some closer numbers for you to get them shipped. Barged down to you and you pick them up in their yard in Fife if things haven't changed over the years.

I do have things piling up though. Snow is coming and when I get home, I have to fly down to Seldovia and help my dad with his Charter Business Web Site. I'll do my best.

Yep, if I remember right, this may be the smaller one that only does 100 amps but still. I'm hooked! I love my gauges!!! LOL

Just to Bad Ass to not post. Now I was told... When you're on one of the few man made islands and you need to evacuate, in rare cases you have these (Maybe like 5 locations in the world or something like that). These will go under water, and drive along the bottom to shore. Just so you know, the ocean is very shallow up here for quite a ways out, only 10-12 feet. But still... Wouldn't that be intense to do!!

When you're on one of the few man made islands and you need to evacuate, in rare cases you have these (Maybe like 5 locations in the world or something like that). These will go under water, and drive along the bottom to shore. Just so you know, the ocean is very shallow up here for quite a ways out, only 10-12 feet. But still... Wouldn't that be intense to do!!

Woe... intense would be an understatement. It's better than drowning I am sure, but I think that would freak me out a bit. Like I would want to make sure the driver knew where they were going, and not, out to sea. Lol. Great pics! Holy cow, that looks super cold.

LOL..... You know your an Alaskan when -15 is just "starting" to get cold. I spent some time in Fairbanks in the mid 90's. Anything below -10 I couldn't tell the difference. It was just cold. At -40 I decided that being indoors was preferable. lol

Man, I said the EXACT same thing when I heard about what they were for! Apparently they have a telescope like a sub that goes up as well. I don't see it, but maybe they do.

Amen to that. -10... -40.... it all sucks. When you look at your phone and it says "Feels like -54", you know you're in for a rough day.

Unless you're with the right crew with the right lead. Then you don't feel it. One of the best days working as an apprentice was digging a ditch when it was more then -15 out. The week before it was in the 30s and raining all week so the ground was basically a solid dirt, rock, ice cube. Hard work that kicks our ass but great attitudes can make a world of difference.

Getting supper close. Just missing the gears. Only thing I messed up on was the cambolts. First time I ordered the metal sleeve, the second time I ordered the plastic ones.

They do. That's why I got new ones. I don't have the time to deal with swapping out my torn bushing in my current LCAs.

I was also thinking I might buy some good used OEM LCA's and getting a set of Whiteline bushings to press in ahead of time. Might save a little money that way.

I love looking at them. Lol

Everything there is OEM except the cambolts. If you have the time and tools, I would try to press in new bushings. I just don't have the time to fight with them when the time comes due to my work. I might even drop it off when I go to work, and pick it up when I come home. I love doing my own work, but even on my time off I'm still putting in over 25 hours a week for my job.
